    COVID Safety Protocol

Vaccinations & Campus Safety

  • With the recent restrictions announced by the Ontario government, there have been a number of changes to our COVID-19 protocols. Lambton College will continue to follow all directives from the provincial and federal governments and public health authorities.

In an effort to minimize the potential for disruption, all Lambton College programs will remain learning remotely for all theory classes until Monday, March 7. Labs, co-ops, apprenticeships, and other practical components that are currently being taught in-person will continue to remain in-person. Lambton College is requesting that any student who has an in-class component upload proof of vaccination as soon as possible, according to our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Any questions can be sent to vaccines@lambtoncollege.ca.

    Visiting the Campus

If you're going to be visiting the Lambton College campus, you will need to complete a mandatory Campus Access Training Module prior to your visit.

The training is in an easy to follow format and is mandatory for staff, faculty, students, contractors and visitors.

    External Guests

All clients, contractors, and visitors to Lambton College, over the age of 12, will need to complete the following before accessing the College campuses or affiliated facilities:

    1. Provide proof that you are fully vaccinated at one of the designated screening entrances and show a piece of ID to verify your identity (e.g. birth certificate, driver's license, government issues identification, passport, citizenship card, permanent resident card, Indian Status Card, Indigenous Membership Card)
    2. Verbally screen at the entrance and provide contact information for contact tracing

    Staff, Faculty & Current Students

If students or employees cannot be vaccinated due to a medical reason or other protected grounds under the Ontario Human Rights Code, they can request an exemption.

Please be aware that approved exemptions may impose restrictions or necessitate COVID-19 testing protocols which could include regular rapid antigen testing.

Masking & Daily Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

As we have throughout the pandemic, we will continue to require employees, students and visitors to complete the daily screening form upon entering any Lambton College building or leased facility.

Social distancing, proper PPE, including but not limited to masking in shared/common spaces, and extended cleaning will also be best practice for Fall 2021. For more information on these requirements please see the Roadmap to Reopening document.
