NOVA Chemicals Health & Research Centre

  • Lambton College's long-time vision to construct a world-class health centre is officially a reality. The newly constructed 60,000 sq. ft. NOVA Chemicals Health & Research Centre is now open.

The $30M project was funded through the Envision Tomorrow Capital Campaign, established by the Lambton College Foundation in 2015.

  • Shortly after launching the campaign, the College received $20 million in joint funding from the Governments of Canada and Ontario through the Small Communities Fund. Lambton Country Council has also committed $5 Million to the project.

  • In October 2015, the College received a $2 million financial donation on behalf of NOVA Chemicals to help fund the new Centre. The donation remains the single largest educational investment ever made by the local industrial manufacturer and included the corporate naming rights to the building.

  • Designed to accommodate health sciences programming, interdisciplinary learning, and applied research, the new building boasts a 40-bed nursing lab, two intensive care unit rooms, two simulated advanced care suites, three active learning classrooms, a 140-seat amphitheatre, paramedic lab, and various advanced technology simulation training spaces.

  • As part of the new building a very important 50 year Time Capsule was installed. This capsule celebrates where Lambton College has been and where it is going over the next 50 years.
