    Full Registration

    It is important that you bring ALL registration documents in order to be a registered student. You must have hard copies of your Acceptance Letter, Passport, Study Permit, Lambton College fee receipt, and Pre-Arrival Orientation Certificate. Additional documents to bring are your Work Permit and Transportation receipt, if applicable. Pick up your session stamp card for your chance to win great prizes; as well as your welcome bag and food ticket. Be sure to have your photo taken to receive your student ID card.

    Meet the Associate Dean and Staff of International Education

    Meet the Associate Dean of International Education, Hanna Eroglu, as she offers tips on how to be a successful student at Lambton and about living in Sarnia. You will also get a chance to meet our enthusiastic staff from the International Department and learn each of their roles.

    Meet a local Sarnia police officer and learn about important topics related to the law including how to identify scams, privacy, what is consent, and other Ontario laws.

    Discover what Canada has in store with this in depth look at some of the challenges you will face when adapting to the Canadian lifestyle. This will include Canadian social norms and expectations, appropriate clothing, where to buy necessities, and how to handle the Canadian winter. This interactive presentation will also test your knowledge of Canada, the province of Ontario and the city of Sarnia through student engagement and participation.

    Navigating Lambton Online

    Discover how to log on to your school e-mail account; view your class schedule, connect with your courses on D2L; learn important dates and information on MyLambton; and find your grades on WebAdvisor.

    Accommodations and Renting Rights

    Meet our Housing Coordinator, Rob Tuer and YMCA’s Newcomer Settlement Coordinator, Regina Croskery and learn about your various living options; how to find accommodation; what you can afford; lease agreements and rental procedures; questions to ask your landlord; and tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities in Canada. Receive a list of helpful resources and get all of your accommodation questions answered.

    How to Get a Part-Time Job Workshop

    Learn all the tools that Lambton has to offer to assist you in your job search such as current job postings, resume workshops and mock interviewing.

    Academic Integrity Workshop

    Learn about the importance of having academic integrity, what plagiarism is, testing policies and procedures and what constitutes cheating in college. Discover useful tools to help you to avoid committing a cheating offence.

    How to be an Effective Team Member Workshop

    The ability to work well in a team is a vital skill to have both while in your in school and in your work life. Learn tips and tricks on how to be effective team member.

    Immigration Consultant: Study Permits and Co-op Work Permits

    Meet Bart Devries, our Immigration Consultant, and learn about important topics such as; how to travel back home while you are studying; the conditions of your study permit; rules about working on and off campus; co-op work permits; extending your study permit; and obtaining a temporary resident visa. Following this session, you will have a chance to ask Bart all of your immigration questions.

    Lions’ Local Bus and Bites Tour

    Join a Lambton College tour guide as you travel by bus to four local restaurants to enjoy some delicious, Sarnia cuisine. There is an additional cost of $10 per student.
