Alicia's Story
I'm Alicia.
I’m a part-time student in Lambton College’s online Perioperative Nursing program and also a graduate of the Practical Nursing program.
I'm a mother, I'm a nurse, wife of a farmer and I don't think I'd give up any of my jobs because I love working with people but I love being so family oriented in a small town.
As a busy professional and a working mom, time management is of the utmost importance. I really don't have the extra time for driving and commuting. That makes it challenging to fit education into my schedule, but the personal attention I get from the people in Online and Continuing Education makes it a lot easier.
I have been to other colleges and tried their online programs and I just felt like a student number, just another person logging in.
When I tried Lambton College I felt like a real person because there was somebody I could contact whenever I needed help.
Even though I’m taking an online course I never feel disconnected. I would recommend online learning at Lambton College to everyone who's trying to fit education into a busy lifestyle.
