This online competency based Micro-credential is designed to introduce learners on hand hygiene, infection control and the various personal protective equipment within the healthcare system. This course is designed for those currently working in the field and includes a workplace lab component. You will learn about the types of micro-organisms that contribute to infections and the necessary routine precautions to prevent and enhance infection control. Lastly, you will explore when to use appropriate personal protective equipment to keep you and others safe.
