Exploring Diversity and Equity is a series of eBit mini-courses designed to help students cultivate an appreciation for diversity and develop confidence and curiosity when interacting with other people. Exploring Diversity & Equity: A Brief Introduction is the first eBit in this series. It is recommended that students compete this eBit, followed by Acknowledging Unconscious Bias, before taking the other eBits in the series.

In Exploring Diversity & Equity: A Brief Introduction, students are introduced to the central concepts in the Exploring Diversity and Equity series. Students will examine concepts such as Bias, Equity, Inclusion, Tolerance, Accommodation, Prejudice, Discrimination and Stereotypes. In the process, students will be encouraged to reflect on their changing understandings of diversity and its importance.
