This course is intended to introduce the basic concepts of management and organizational behaviour with a view to using those concepts for the strategic development of occupational health, safety, and environmental processes within an organizational context. Topics to be covered: Introduction to Management and Organizational Behaviour, Planning: Forecasting the Future, Organizing: Making the Pieces Fit, Leading: Motivating Towards Excellence, Controlling: Minding the P's & Q's, Healthy Organizational Change, Doing It Right: Ethics & Social Conscience, and Teamwork: Effective Work Groups, Communication and Conflict Management.
