How do you feel that your training at Lambton College has prepared you for your success?

Lambton College gave me the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical knowledge for Power Engineering. I learned in detail about different chemical and power engineering processes through lectures and labs. I also gained the knowledge to write my 4th Class Power Engineering exams.

During my time at Lambton, I had the opportunity to work as a co-op student at KmX Biofuel Corporation and Greenfield Energy Centre. I also worked with the Research Department, Marketing Department, Registrar’s Office and as a Convocation help assistant.

In addition to my work experience, I participated in many different volunteering events held at the college. Overall, I can say that the work experience and knowledge I gained during my studies has helped me to achieve success in my field.

What advice would you give to somebody who is considering taking the same course at Lambton College?

Lambton College is an excellent place to study and gain practical experience. Chemical Production & Power Engineering Technology is a well-designed course and helps to prepare students for the Power Engineering exams. The professors are exceptionally qualified and explain everything in detail.

This course assists students in getting co-op opportunities and steam time for their 4th Class Power Engineering certification. There are many job opportunities as a Process Operator/Power Engineer after this course which can lead you to a better future. So just go for it! Studying at Lambton College will be the best decision of your academic career.

Anything else to add about your Lambton College experience or your current success?

I worked in the Research Department and the Registrar’s Office at college and that was the best experience I have ever had. My professors and co-workers were friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful in every situation.

As well, there are lots of resources available at the college. Lambton has the best library with all the necessary engineering books and software available to students.

For extra activities there is a fitness centre, sports centre and SAC room. There are well-designed labs and a large array of process equipment to help students better understand the hands-on elements of their program. MyCareer centre will help you to connect with different employers for co-op and full-time opportunities.
