The Advanced Teaching - eLearning & Instructional Design Ontario College Graduate Certificate validates your existing and newly acquired skills in elearning and instructional design, training and development, and online facilitation. The program covers industry-standard online learning tools as well as elearning design and development, adult learning theory, Quality Assurance, and accessibility standards and guidelines.
The program is designed to be completed in its entirety like a regular college program or students can also choose to complete only the courses they require to achieve specific skills needed for your future aspirations in the field of elearning design and development.
Storyline eLearning Development - Micro-Certificate
Included within the Advanced Teaching – eLearning & Instruction Design program, students have the option to complete the Storyline eLearning Development micro-certificate. This micro-certificate includes three micro-credential learning units.
Transfer Courses to other Lambton College Online Programs
Just as you can choose to take only the courses you need, you can also choose to move beyond the ATDS program and complete additional certificates with ease. Three programs share courses with the Advanced Teaching – eLearning & Instruction Design program and those are:
- Adult Education Board of Governors Certificate - 3 common courses
- CTA-1003, CTA-1033, CTA-1043
- eLearning Developer Board of Governors Certificate - 3 common courses
- AED-1073, AED-1083, CSCP-1453
- Instructional Design Board of Governors Certificate - 2 common courses

Previous Education & Transfer Options
If you have previous education in a related area that is not part of the above programs, you may be eligible for transfer credit. If you have related experience that is not reflected in your education history, you may have the option of demonstrating your mastery of a particular course or micro-credential learning unit. Either way, you can complete the certificate faster by getting credit for what you already know.

Admission Requirements
A university degree, college diploma or advanced diploma or equivalent.
If you are taking part-time courses with the intention of completing a program and earning a credential,
you must meet Admission Requirements outlined on the program page. It is the student's responsibility to supply proof of admission
requirements to the Office of the Registrar before he/she has completed three courses in the program.
If you do complete the program and do not have the appropriate admission requirements, you will be ineligible to receive
your certificate or diploma.
If you believe you have an equivalent level of knowledge and would like credit for Prior Learning Assessment, please contact
Counselling at 519-479-1023 at least two weeks before classes begin.
