This certificate is designed to prepare students for professional careers as Nail Technicians. An integration of theory and practical application will offer students real-time learning while using up-to-date techniques and treatments. Students will be required to purchase a kit. These kits will include all professional supplies and equipment needed in order to perform nail enhancements and regular nail care.

Students must purchase kits from the Lambton College Campus Shop. All courses are transferable to the full-time Esthetician Ontario College Diploma program.

Admission Requirements

O.S.S.D. or equivalent with
Grade 12 English C or U

Mature applicants must be at least 19 years of age by the start of classes and be out of secondary school for at least one year and usually do not have a high school diploma. The Mature applicant assessment for this program is available in the Counselling Department in the subject of English. The assessment(s) will demonstrate proficiency in required admission subjects. For more information please contact the Counselling Department at ext 3412. Academic admission requirements can be obtained through Academic Upgrading and Pre-Programs at Lambton College.

Applications for this program are not accepted through ontariocolleges.ca.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates may find career opportunities as a nail technician in salons or spas. Self-employment opportunities may be attainable.

Fees for this program are charged on a course-by-course basis. For individual course fees, please visit the course list and select a course.

Online course choices will have added software fees and book costs are not included in course fees unless otherwise stated.
