Release Rate Behaviours of Reservoir Technologies through Analytical Techniques

Semios

Challenge/Opportunity:

Semios has a product portfolio that includes multiple proprietary, predictive algorithms for the management of various pests, diseases and climactic events as well as various bio-pesticide products centered around mating disruption technologies.

In collaboration with Lambton College, they proposed to develop a detailed characterization of the impacts of both temperature and age on the release rates of various chemical components from various reservoir technologies.

Solution/Collaboration:

Through this collaboration, Semios and Lambton College will focus on determining the release rate behaviours of various reservoir technologies by using analytical techniques such as Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and how they vary with age and temperature to integrate an optimized interpretation of pest densities.
