Modification and Property Improvement of Post-Consumed Recycled Polypropylene Resin

Entropex

Challenge/Opportunity:

Entropex and Advanced Material Engineering Research (AMER) team at Lambton College are collaborating through this project to develop compounding formulations that will modify and enhance the final physical and mechanical properties of post-consumed materials.

Solution/Collaboration:

The outcome of this project will help Entropex to develop new products for its clients for various applications. This will increase Entropex's competitiveness in the market, increase its revenue and enhance company's growth. The developed process needs to be scaled up for large-scale production. This will provide excellent opportunity to create jobs for design, construction and operation. In addition, added value to post-consumer waste will lower the burden on our landfill site by processing much of those plastics from the recycled pathway.
