Richard Lebert comes into his research role with a background of dedicated clinical experience as a Registered Massage Therapist. In addition to his training as a Registered Massage Therapist, Richard has professional certification in Medical Acupuncture from McMaster's University. Prior to starting as Associate Faculty at Lambton College, he worked at The Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic at Western University as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Richard is responsible for the creation of The RMT Education Project, an educational resource that supports the development of research literacy in the massage therapy profession. This project led to him being recognized by the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario (RMTAO) and Bob Bailey M.P.P. for his outstanding contribution to the profession.

An active advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration, Richard is involved in a number of committees and projects. A recent project involved working in collaboration with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) to revise the program of care for mild traumatic brain injuries. Another ongoing project involves preparing and presenting to elected representatives of the Ontario Legislative Council through a Queens Park Day. This role involves actively engaging with the Government of Ontario on the topic of health care options that are effective, economical and accessible.
