Casual/Call-in Program Leader
Forest, ON
Days & Hours:
Tuesday and Friday, 14 hours + call-in shifts
Rate of Pay:
$18 hourly + 10% in lieu of benefits
Primary Responsibilities:
The Program Leader will assist with the planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the Afterschool Strategy Program. This program is offered afterschool at four different locations in the rural communities of Forest, Thedford, Watford and the First Nations community of Kettle Point and Aamjiwnaang. The focus of the program is to provide physical activity and healthy living education to school aged children and youth from grades 1-8 after school.
Flexible hours of work are required for all positions. The incumbent may be required to work at multiple locations.
Experience Required:
A Degree or Diploma in Health Promotion or Child and Youth Worker or Early Childhood Educator, or Recreation Therapy, or a related discipline.
• Experience facilitating programs for children and youth aged 6-13 years.
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills.
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
