Speaking/Listening Intermediate

This speaking and listening course has been developed for intermediate students who are non-native speakers of the English language. In the classroom, students discuss topics of interest to themselves and the world they live in as well as develop their listening skills through the use of audio tools. The course evaluation places an emphasis on applying new vocabulary (content vocabulary and Academic World List) and speaking frameworks such as pronunciation in oral presentations. An online extension tool is used in the computer lab. The language lab portion is designed to apply the concepts taught in the lecture. Students are required to demonstrate these skills through a series of hands-on exercises. (CEFR B1)
