Pronunciation High Intermediate

This pronunciation course has been developed for high intermediate students who are non-native speakers of the English language. In the classroom, students practice pronunciation for clear speaking. The course evaluation places a strong emphasis on producing vowel and consonant sounds as well as applying stress, rhythm, and intonation following English pronunciation and speech patterns. The goal of the course is to encourage students to see good pronunciation as a tool for overall communicative effectiveness in English (CEFR B2). This course is part of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. As such, it would also be an excellent component add-on course for international students at Lambton College who are on pathways to higher education and who would like to supplement their diploma program with material from an EAP curriculum.
