Please Note: This policy was suspended as of April 23, 2022 and individuals are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination.

The corresponding policy at Seneca College has served as the basis for this policy.

Lambton College prioritizes a safe and healthy place to work, teach, study, and conduct research. This policy provides direction on the conditions under which individuals will be permitted to enter Lambton College campus.

This policy applies to all Lambton College students, employees, clients, contractors, visitors over the age of 12 and/or any other attendees on Lambton College campuses or affiliated facilities.

  1. To protect the health and safety of our community, Lambton College is requiring that individuals be vaccinated as a condition to enter Lambton College campus for any reason.
  2. All on-campus activities, as well as this policy, will continue to be responsive and aligned to federal, provincial and local public health regulations and guidance related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  3. Individuals will be considered vaccinated pursuant to this policy provided that they have received COVID-19 vaccines approved by Health Canada or the World Health Organization (WHO).
  4. Individuals who have not completed a full series of an approved Health Canada or WHO COVID-19 vaccine will not be allowed on campus. An individual must have received the full series of an approved does at least 14 days before accessing campus.
  5. Individuals who wish to enter Lambton College campus must submit proof, in the form of a dose administration receipt, of having been fully vaccinated.
  6. For the Fall 2021 semester, a partial vaccination grace period will be in place. Individuals who have received their first dose of a two dose vaccine by September 7, 2021 will be permitted on campus. However, the second dose of the two-dose vaccine must be administered by October 18, 2021. Individuals who have not received their first dose by September 7, 2021, or have not received their second dose by October 18, 2021 will not be permitted on campus until 14 days after they have received their second dose of an approved vaccine. Individuals who have received only one dose during the grace period will be required to test on a weekly basis, unless the individual has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past ninety days. In this instance, the individual shall provide proof of a positive COVID-19 result in the past 90 days, following the same procedure as Requesting an Exemption and Accommodation. Once that period has passed, the individual will be required to complete regular testing until they become fully vaccinated.
  7. Lambton will consider exemptions on an individual basis received from students, employees, and long-term contractors relating to medical grounds and/or because of their creed/religion. Approved exemptions based on these grounds will be accommodated up to the point of undue hardship. However, such accommodation may be provided through measures other than being granted access to campus.
  8. Exemptions and accommodations may not be extended to clients, daily contractors, visitors and/or any other attendees.
  9. Individuals who make false claims about, or provide false documents related to, being vaccinated, may be subject to disciplinary actions, up to and including expulsion for students, termination for employees, voiding of contracts for clients and contractors and removal/restriction from campus for visitors and/or other attendees.
  10. All documentation collected in support of this policy will be stored in accordance with Lambton College’s Confidentiality and Privacy of Information and Records (2000-7-1) and Records Retention (1000-1-3) policies.
  11. Individuals who are participating in placements, co-ops and/or other experiential learning modalities with an external organization will also need to follow the corresponding vaccination policy of that organization.
