Join Walpole Island First Nation filmmaker Derek Sands for a screening and group discussion of his newest short-film “Gaa ZhaaWiijig: Survivors (2024) which shares the profound stories of ten Walpole Island First Nation elders, highlighting their resilience and honoring the spirit and legacy of the community’s residential school survivors as they navigate the journey of healing and cultural reclamation.
