How do you feel that your training at Lambton College has prepared you for your success?
The education I received at Lambton College was current and some concepts were even at a university level. This prepared me to work in the field, stay competitive and offer the best service to clients.
During my program I had the privilege of taking the International Community Development course that was offered as a general elective. I had the opportunity to travel to Haiti and this was truly a life changing experience. I would highly recommend potential students consider adding this to their education.
What advice would you give to somebody who is considering taking the same course at Lambton College?
My advice would be to take a tour of Lambton College. I expect that you will immediately get the feeling of a college that cares about your success. I am very grateful that I chose this school to pursue my education because the quality is one of the best in South Western Ontario. The size of the school makes it possible to receive more individual support from faculty and staff.
Lambton College is in the business of building lives not just providing an education. They really care and focus on graduate success. The faculty in this program are well known in the community and have established a high standard of learning so employers can trust the education grads have received. There is a wonderful field placement opportunity each year to provide work experience with different populations in the community
Anything else to add about your Lambton College experience or your current success?
The journey that led me to my current success started on my very first day. The Dean expressed the importance of always being open to every possibility, even if it felt outside of your comfort zone. To grow you sometimes need to change your perspective and just be open to what the experience can lead you to.
