Partial Load Registry
The Collective Agreement includes a requirement for partial load employees to register their interest in being employed as a partial load employee by April 30 for the following year. Additionally, partial load employees will also select the number of partial load hours they are prepared to teach for that academic year.
Registration Dates
Partial load employees who have registered by April 30 will be given priority consideration for the academic year beginning that September.
Registrants are to select the number of partial load hours they are prepared to teach in the department for which they register.
Priority Criteria
As per Article 26.10D and 16.10E, once the school or department determines there is a partial load assignment available, registered partial load employees who meet the following criteria will be given priority consideration:
- Is employed as a partial load employee at the time of the partial load assignment is offered or has been a partial load employee for at least eight months of service - as defined by 26.10C - within the last four academic years.
- Has previously taught all the courses that make up the partial load assignment in the school or department in which the assignment is being offered.
Registration Process
Employees must register once a year before April 30 in order to be added to the registry for the following academic year.
2024-2025 Academic Year
Registration for the 2024-2025 academic year will be open from January 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025 (until 11:59 a.m.)
