Learn more about educational pathways and transfer agreements at Lambton College’s Spring Open House

SARNIA, March 16, 2017 – In addition to offering a variety of diploma, degree and certificate offerings, Lambton College is pleased to offer an expanding roster of unique pathway and transfer agreements with other post-secondary institutions.

Pathway agreements give students the benefits of both college and university through a clearly defined partnership pathway, while transfer agreements provide an opportunity for students to transfer to Lambton College from another institution, while applying previous credits towards a new program.

While agreements between post-secondary institutions are common, a recent survey conducted by Academica Group in February 2017 revealed that only 39 per cent of students were aware of pathway programs when they first applied to post-secondary.

Representatives from Lambton College’s Centre for Educational Pathways will be on hand during Spring Open House, taking place on Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to discuss the various opportunities available to students through Lambton College programs, including exclusive agreements with University of Windsor, Athabasca, and a newly-formed agreement with McMaster University.

Representatives from Nipissing University will also be in attendance to talk to students interested in Business programs about a new admissions agreement that will allow Lambton College students to work towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business through Nipissing University right here at Lambton College.

Further information about program-specific transfer credits, length of pathway programs compared to a college or university-only steam, and the transition between different learning environments will also be available to guests of Open House.

Students can also learn more about the advantages of college pathways such as gaining a combination of hands-on and theoretical learning, exposure to diverse program styles, and increased career possibilities.

In addition to gaining a greater understanding about pathways and transfer agreements, guests of Lambton College’s Spring Open House can also learn more about financial aid and the new OSAP model, tour the campus, explore labs and Residence, enter draws for great prizes, and speak with current students, faculty and staff from every program offered at Lambton College.
