SARNIA, December 15, 2025 – In a reflection of its commitment to the students and communities it serves, Lambton College has received the highest possible rating in its most recent audit in the College Quality Assurance Audit Process (CQAAP). Following the year-long audit process, Lambton College was given the Mature Effort rating in recognition of its quality assurance processes meeting or exceeding rigorous standards in support of program and service quality and student success.
“This rating reflects Lambton College’s uncompromising dedication to student and community success,” said Rob Kardas, President & CEO, Lambton College. “Our culture of quality ensures we are preparing our students for impactful lives as workers and community members.”
The CQAAP is a Ministry of Colleges, Universities and Research Excellence & Security-mandated review overseen by the Ontario College Quality Assurance Service. The audit takes place every six years and evaluates colleges against six comprehensive standards spanning program delivery, vocational learning outcomes, staff and faculty hiring, and student support services.
The audit panel noted the strong engagement of the Lambton College Board of Governors, as well as the contributions from community members serving on Program Advisory Committees, which are panels of industry leaders and professionals who advise the College on academic programs to ensure they remain relevant, responsive to labour market needs, and aligned with industry standards. Program Advisory Committee members were praised for their meaningful dedication, particularly around workforce readiness. Lambton College’s faculty also stood out for their responsiveness and deep commitment to student success.
“One of the goals in our new Strategic Plan is Be the Best at Being Better, and that goal is reflective of our efforts to continually find ways to make the small, meaningful changes that grow to have significant outcomes in the quality of our programs and services,” said Heather Torres, Associate Director, Institutional Intelligence and Deputy Registrar. “These efforts come from everyone in the Lambton College community – from the Board of Governors and employees to the many community members on our Program Advisory Committees. Everyone plays a role in what we accomplish.”
