The Business Writing award of recognition program concentrates on teaching students to become productive, confident, and effective communicators in today's computerized business world.
This certificate is ideal for anyone thinking of starting a small business or launching a career within an established company. The program of study builds from a solid foundation in English writing skills and introduces students to the major styles of business writing. The latter part of the program allows students to choose areas of interest such as web development, business manuals and sales material.
Applications for this program are not accepted through ontariocolleges.ca.

Admission Requirements
O.S.S.D. or equivalent
Mature applicants must be at least 19 years of age by the start of classes and be out of secondary school for at least one year. Mature applicant testing is available in the Counselling Department. The test(s) will demonstrate equivalency in required admission subjects. For more information please contact the Counselling Department at ext 3412.
If you are taking part-time courses with the intention of completing a program and earning a credential,
you must meet Admission Requirements outlined on the program page. It is the student's responsibility to supply proof of admission
requirements to the Office of the Registrar before he/she has completed three courses in the program.
If you do complete the program and do not have the appropriate admission requirements, you will be ineligible to receive
your certificate or diploma.
If you believe you have an equivalent level of knowledge and would like credit for Prior Learning Assessment, please contact
Counselling at 519-479-1023 at least two weeks before classes begin.
