SARNIA, January 6, 2026 – Lambton College and the Sarnia Sting will come together for the fourth annual Lions Night @ Sting on Thursday, January 15, celebrating a strong partnership while spotlighting Lambton College students who are having a positive impact at the college and in the community.

The Sting will be wearing special edition Lambton College jerseys as they take on the Soo Greyhounds. This year’s Lions Night will feature student-led fundraising initiatives, turning a night of hockey into a community partnership celebration and an opportunity to give back.

Members of the Lion’s Mind, Lambton College’s peer wellness collective, will take part in the Sting’s popular Chuck-a-Puck fundraiser, raising money to support student mental health initiatives at the college. In addition, Lambton College’s Fire School students will conduct a Boot Drive fundraiser in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada, continuing a long tradition of community service within fire and emergency response.

“Lions Night at Sting is a reflection of our outstanding partnership with the Sarnia Sting,” said Rob Kardas, President & CEO, Lambton College. “From experiential learning opportunities in our Sports and Recreation Management and Community Integration through Cooperative Education programs to collaborative events like Lions Night, this partnership continues to create meaningful connections in the Sarnia-Lambton community.”

Fans attending the January 15 game can expect Lambton College spirit throughout the arena including a campus pop-up shop, fun intermission games, charity challenges, free temporary tattoos, t-shirt tosses, and opportunities to win prizes. Fans are invited to wear blue to celebrate the special event.

“Lions Night at Sting is a celebration of a partnership we’re genuinely proud of,” said Jake Bourrie, Vice President, Business Operations, Sarnia Sting. “Lambton College and the Sting share more than a campus; we share a commitment to building something positive for Sarnia-Lambton. From supporting each other’s programs and events to creating great game night experiences, this relationship has become part of the fabric of our community. Wearing the Lions jersey is a special way for our organization to show that pride and welcome students, staff, alumni, and fans for a great night together.”

Lions Night @ Sting takes place Thursday, January 15, at Progressive Auto Sales Arena. Puck drop is at 7:05 pm. Tickets are available on the Sarnia Sting website for $12 with promo code lambtoncollege.

The special edition game worn jerseys will be auctioned off following the game on the online auction portal for the Sarnia Sting, with proceeds going to support student success and wellness at Lambton College.
