Schools Without Current Pathway Agreements

Don’t see the school you’re interested in? You may still be able to apply.

Even without a formal pathway, many universities accept applicants from Ontario colleges. Your credits may still be considered. Contact the university’s admissions office to ask how transfer credit works. Each application is reviewed individually.

Frequently Asked Questions about Pathways

A pathway is an agreement between Lambton College and another college or university that outlines how your diploma can count toward a diploma or degree. It shows how many credits you may receive, what year you may enter, and any admission requirements.

No. Even when a formal agreement does not exist, many colleges and universities will still consider you for admission and may assess your credits individually. Always check with the school’s admissions office for options.

You can explore:

  • Our Pathway database (the list can be found above)
  • ONTransfer.ca for province-wide options
  • College or university admissions offices for case-by-case assessments

This depends on the school and program. Formal pathways list guaranteed credit amounts, while other schools review your transcripts and course outlines to determine possible transfer credits.

Sometimes. Certain diploma-to-degree pathways allow advanced entry (e.g., entering Year 2 or 3), especially in business, health, technology, and social science programs.

Admissions requirements vary by institution. Most universities set a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) for transfer students, and some programs may have competitive or higher requirements.

Typically:

  • Official college transcript
  • Course outlines (for credit assessment)
  • Proof of diploma (if completed)

Some universities may request additional documents.

Most Ontario universities use the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) for transfer applications.

College graduates typically apply through the OUAC 105 Application, which is designed for anyone who is not currently attending an Ontario high school.

You can find it here: OUAC 105 Application - Group B applicant

Ideally 6–12 months in advance. This gives you time to explore options, confirm admission requirements, gather documents, and apply for transfer credit.
