SARNIA, November 12, 2025 – Prospective students will get a taste of life at Lambton as the college hosts its Fall Open House this weekend. From academic programs and career paths to residence, activities, and even batting cages, students and their families are invited to experience everything Lambton College has to offer.
Fall Open House will take place Saturday, November 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Main Campus, with shuttles running to the Fire School in Corunna. Guided tours will be available, and sessions will be hosted on financial aid and transitioning to college life.
Free Applications
Potential applicants are encouraged to attend, as the College will cover the $150 application fee for any new applications to a full-time, non-waitlisted Lambton College program during Open House. The Enrolment team will assist guests with the application process, and all attendees will be entered into a draw for free tuition.
Academic Program Showcase
Students will get an interactive introduction to their education, with faculty, technicians, and current students on hand to discuss programs and career opportunities. A number of programs will be giving live demonstrations on specialized equipment, and labs and facilities will be open for exploration.
Athletics Experience
Prospective student-athletes are welcome to join the varsity Women’s Softball and Men’s Baseball teams for a few swings in the Lambton College batting cages. Coaches and Athletics staff will be available to answer questions and discuss athletics opportunities.
Student Administrative Council (SAC)
The Lion’s Den Pub, home of SAC’s famed Pub Nights, will be open with representatives available to discuss student life. SAC will also be showing off their new Golf & SportSuite Simulators where attendees can take part in longest drive and closest to the pin competitions.
Campus Developments
Visitors to campus will notice significant progress on Lambton College’s major construction projects. The New Student Residence, slated to open September 2027, is rapidly taking shape as a result of recent masonry and structural steel work and new precast flooring and walls.
Work also continues on the Indigenous Outdoor Gathering Space, a purpose-built space for Indigenous learners to feel empowerment and ownership in a western institution and for Indigenous students and Indigenous community members to connect with their culture. Interior work is underway, including work on the wood ceiling, fire pit, and benches.
Legacy of Hope Foundation Exhibition
Attendees are invited to tour through the Generations Lost: The Residential School System in Canada exhibit in the NOVA Chemicals Health & Research Centre. This museum-style exhibit overviews the history of development of the Residential School System alongside the formation of Canada.
